Hello,
I use iCal to automatically run some AppleScripts at various times of
the day, mostly overnight. When I get to work in the morning, iCal has
displayed a vague message saying "An AppleScript event alarm did not
execute properly. The script "rogue_nightly_build.scpt" that was
assigned to the event "rogue build" did not open or did not finish running."
I look in Console.app and I see the following:
2006-04-11 20:19:24.596 iCal[11104] Script execution error: {
NSAppleScriptErrorBriefMessage = "Out of memory.";
NSAppleScriptErrorMessage = "Out of memory.";
NSAppleScriptErrorNumber = -108;
NSAppleScriptErrorRange = <00000000 00000000 >;
}
But there is plenty of memory available. My script does take a long
time though, maybe there is a timeout somewhere that is misreported? If
I run the script from Script Editor I never see any errors.
I realise this is perhaps somewhat OT, being mostly an iCal question,
but has anyone else had this problem?
Otherwise, if there another way to schedule AppleScripts besides iCal?
Thanks!
