Moving Scripting Additions from home to system library

| I've been using a couple of Satimage osaxen for a while in my main user library, but would like to start using Applescript in my other user account as well. So I copied ScriptingAdditions from home/user/Library to /Macintosh HD/Library and ran a script, which worked perfectly. Good, I thought, I managed to change that without affecting the system. Hours later, I discovered that I couldn't empty the Trash because it was running the Scripting Additions from the Trash. Tried restarting Script Editor--it's still running them from the Trash.
Am distinctly unimpressed with the way the Mac handles this issue.
Am slightly more impressed that at least my other account can see the osaxen, presumably from the system library, but... am I supposed to use them from the Trash or home library for my main account and from the system library for the other account? If not, what _am_ I supposed to do? |
