I've been using a couple of Satimage osaxen for a while in my main user library, but would like to <x-tad-bigger>start using Applescript in my other user account as well. So I copied ScriptingAdditions from home/user/Library to /Macintosh HD/Library and ran a script, which worked perfectly. Good, I thought, I managed to change that without affecting the system. Hours later, I discovered that I couldn't empty the Trash because it was running the Scripting Additions from the Trash. Tried restarting Script Editor--it's still running them from the Trash.</x-tad-bigger>

<x-tad-bigger>Am distinctly unimpressed with the way the Mac handles this issue.</x-tad-bigger>

<x-tad-bigger>Am slightly more impressed that at least my other account can see the osaxen, presumably from the system library, but... am I supposed to use them from the Trash or home library for my main account and from the system library for the other account? If not, what _am_ I supposed to do?</x-tad-bigger>

Hello

Restart the system and if I remember well, Standard Additions will be used from the Library folder.
You will be able to empty the trash.
