I have a script that synchronizes a FileMaker database with the
address book. I'm currently updating it from FM6 format to FM8, which
shouldn't take too long.
It scans every record in both locations and updates in either
direction based on the date of the record.
The FM portion is not totally generic but I've tried to centralize
the knowledge of field names etc.
Let me know if you (or anyone else) would like a copy after I finish
updating it. It synchronizes about 2000 records in about one minute
(with FM6), so it's not super fast.
If I was to do it again, I'd try to do the synch. a record at a time.
However that's easy with updates but difficult with deletions.
