- Thread-topic: Entourage Rule to modify incoming email message source
I quickly browsed through a few familiar collections of scripts for the
Entourage 2004 email client app, but I didn't find one that does precisely
what I want, although I did find a couple that look promising as source
material if I need to create my own.
Anyway, hoping to save time, do you know of a script that I could use as the
basis of an Entourage rule that will find and remove a precise string in the
source of incoming html email messages? I have an email account with a
filter action by the server that alters tags so that in the source of an
incoming html message tag of, for example, "<style..." the tag becomes
"<DEFANGED_style...". This only happens for mail of one account, so I want
to create an incoming mail rule that will find and replace "DEFANGED_" with
"" in the html content of any mail message received through this account.
I don't need help with find and replace routines, I just need help getting
the message source data out of and back into the Entourage message without
making more changes than desired.
Thanks.
