OK, you're apparently correct - that works both outside of any tells
and within a Finder tell block - but why the heck does it work?

Probably before that, but the file I have explicitly mentions OS 8,
so I'll start from it.
At least since MacOS 8, some, may be all, special folders in MacOS
have a 4 letter signature, much like an app.
Long time ago Chris Nebel posted a file (a header file) that
contained all those codes.
It, this file, used to come bundled with the developer tools,
apparently it is not there any longer.
However, I have here a compilation with codes that work.
Some are repeated but thats the way life goes....
