And I am, after all, a non-UK folk.  It just tickled my I18N/L10N bone...

It does seem like something's screwy somewhere.  I'm seeing the same
results as kai OMM.  In French->France, it's "25 avril",  but in
"United Kingdom", whether I choose pounds or Euro, it's "April 25".

There are other mismatches, too.  If I pick Spanish->Spain, it shows
up in the sample as "martes 2 de enero de 2007", but the AS output is
"miƩrcoles, 25 abril 2007", with an extra comma and no "de"s.
