Macscripter is the hub of the Applescript, Automator and Scripting Additions community on the internet. Besides our tutorials and articles, we have a large storehouse of scripts, actions, and scripting additions as well as a large BBS forum. In addition, Bill Cheeseman has given us custody of the Applescript Sourcebook, which was the largest collection of Applescripting resources when I started scripting 10 years ago.

I just realized that Address Book can only export ONE contact at a

time. It had 3 options for importing. I guess they figure no one

would ever need their data except in a way that they've designed?

Anyway, I am trying to export my contacts in this format:

Name,Address,Home,Work,Mobile

(The order of the phone #s is not important, as long as all 3 are

exported.)

I found this

and made the necessary edit to save the exported file to my desktop,

but it didn't work (no error message, it just starts and never stops

and no output is created).
