I wonder if I was the only one who misread that as "Sal" rather than "Sol" and thought it was a touch uncharitable. ;-)

I agree, it's a shame Numbers isn't scriptable. 

Personally, I usually end up getting frustrated and exporting an Excel spreadsheet as a CSV file and parsing that, so I guess Numbers' XML is an improvement on CSV. But it'd be great to have a nice, clear scripting dictionary for Numbers, then I could ditch Excel once and for all.
