>>> Wow, AppleScript is tough!
We never promised you a rose garden!
AppleScript is powerful. You can use it to seemlessly control made by
hundreds of developers, across numerous system upgrades and you
expect it to be easy?
Well, once you grok it, it is easy. (IMHO programmers have a harder
time getting started than anyone else)
>>>I've looked at the Dictionary for Mail and I don't see anything
obvious. Of course, once I'd written said script, I'd have to figure
out how to invoke it from within Mail, but I'm willing to take this
one step at a time.
>>>Anybody willing to give me a pointer?
The best pointer is the mail scripts installed on your mac. I think
if you look in the AppleScript folder inside applications and
AppleScript utility app. Open that and turn on the AppleScript menu.
You should see a script icon in your menu bar and there will be a sub
menu with Mail scripts.
Start there.
This list is a good place to go for more guidance.
