You didn't (want to?) understand correct. Tom said "and cobol was supposed to be an english-like language *that even managers could understand*...and we all know how well_that_worked;-)" So not how well COBOL worked but how well the understanding by managers worked.


Perl
doesn't come with one of those, either, unless you count perlsh, which
I don't...

One of the most valuable tools of Perl (and I use Perl almost daily) is "perl -d". And of course "Data::Dumper";. So; Two of the most valuable Tools for Perl are "perl -d" and "Data::Dumper"; (Nobody expects the spanisch inquisition)... Something like that wolud be helpful in Script Editor too.
