Nope, just solely the image artwork, that's all. If it is possible to
get perhaps Artist and Album information in the file name then it'd be
a bonus, but that's all not required.
Not much experience at all with applescript thus far :(

Yes, you can script that. The question now is,
do you want to have the artwork tagged with the song info, or just
shove a lot of pictures over to a server.
I'm also looking for a good book on teaching the basics of applescript
to using it more advanced too. Anyone have recommendations?
