I tried it. When I do it manually, I can assign the application to the file. No problem. When I look into Finder's properties for the file, I see that the "kind" has changed. Also, when I look into the Standard Addition's "default application" of the "info for" the file, it has changed. Unfortunately both properties are read only.

So is there any advice, how I can change it using AppleScript or maybe even "do shell script", but nor GUI Scripting.
