There's one problem with that script, though; it moves a random (or at least a seemingly random) number of events, from one to all, that meet the criterion. Running it again moves more of them.

Sounds like a bug in iCal; file a bug report.

I was planning to.

You should also check to see that all of the events it moved actually deserved to be moved - depending on the nature of the problem, it might also be moving events that it shouldn't.

I can't get that to happen, fortunately.
