Where does Mail store deleted messages?

  • Subject: Where does Mail store deleted messages?

The answer is: In the user's /Library/Mail/Deleted Messages.mbox/ Messages folder.
The string "Deleted Messages" is stored in the preference file "com.apple.mail.plist" in the key MailAccounts/0/TrashMailBoxName.

I suspect that the value of this key depends on the language preference set in the International preference pane when the user first used Mail.

Is there anyone who operates Mail in a language other than English who can tell me the name of the "Deleted Messages" folder on their Mac? I'd like to confirm that a handler I just wrote is necessary to internationalize my script.
