Differences between Panther and Tiger for beginners...

If I use my second machine (ibook clamshell, Firewire, Panther) with
my Applescripts, what are the sorts of things I need to watch out
for? So far most of the problems I've had involve unhelpful error
messages which seemed to mean that if I forget to set types
explicitly it goes wrong (whereas my Tiger machine is able to figure
out if I want a string to turn into a number), but are there any
other things I should remember?
Not necessarily a vast essay detailing every distinction, just -- are
there particular things that you've noticed breaking if people run a
script in an earlier OS?
