Hi. I have a property saved in an AS app. The app manipulates Extensis Portfolio 8 and Photoshop CS2.

When I run the app from the Finder, the property value remains persistent, as I would expect. However, when I place the app in Portfolio’s Script folder and run the app via Portfolio’s script menu, the script runs correctly except that the property only uses the default value and is not persistent. Is there any way that I can get the property to remain persistent when running it from Portfolio’s script menu? I don’t want to save the text in an external file if I can avoid it.

Hi Ken,

that's not really an answer to your question.

I have some scripts for Quark XPress.
If I run them with doubleclick, the properties remain persistent.
If I run them in Quark XPress Version 6.52 script menu, the properties remain persistent.
If I run them in Quark XPress Version 7.2 script menu, the properties are NOT persistent.

So I did, what I tried to avoid and saved the properties in a plist file.
