Thanks John,
Yes I looked through the studio docs but I don't think this is an applescript situation. I should be able to adjust the basic table function of header spacing/resizing in IB. So I just rebuilt the Table itself and voila-it works! But.... then I changed some settings for the table in IB and noticed that certain settings cause the column resizing to get stuck at minimum size again. If the Table border is set to the "well" (choice 3) or 'horizontal slider" is unchecked, the columns misbehave. This is not so good since I don't want the big ugly scroller across the bottom. So again, is this a bug or is there something I am missing. Rob D

Hi All,
I upgraded two of my apps to xcode 3.0 and
Leopard and have
noticed that the column headers in table view
collapse to their
minimum sizes if you try to adjust their width at
all. There is no
retrieving them after that - they are stuck at
minimum. I am getting
used to the new inspector/size pane but can not see
anything there to
alter this behavior. When you click on the header
separator, it shows
the little double arrow but as soon as you try to
move it, it changes
to a single arrow pointing to the left and indeed
snaps to the left.
Anyone else experience this or know what causes it?
Thanks Rob D

Dear Robert;

To find out what the possible cause may be, go to
Apple's Website,
and in the search field, type in Applescript
Guidebook. download the version that is appropriate
to the version of Mac OS you have, then open it.
There are hundreds of pages covering all topics on
Applescript, One of them should help you find the
answer.

Good luck

John
