Hey folks.
I'm asking these here because, well, you're the only Mac folks on the net
that I generally trust. This has nothing to do with AppleScript.
Feel free to send any replies off-list, since this is way OT.
1. For some reason, and with no other problems, the application 'iSync'
will no longer launch. I get an error report full of that strange chicken
scratch.
I tried to install just iSync from the 10.4 CD, using the application
Pacifist, which is like the old TomeViewer -- it lets you select just some
items form a .pkg file.
That worked, but it gave me an old version of iSync (2.0), and Software
Update doesn't offer to get me the newest version (2.5).
And even that version only launches, then quits, but with no 'crash report'
window shown. It just instantly dies.
**
My syncing process still works, but I can no longer open iSync to change any
preferences for my PalmOS device.
**
If I just do a re-install of my original 10.4 disk, over my old OS, is that
a problem? (I've never had to re-install any OS X, since I've never had
even one problem like this since I switched to X.3.
(I actually did re-install the latest Combo-update for 10.4.10, but iSync
still is not current, and still will not launch.)
I can't find a place at Apple.com to download iSync for Tiger, since it's
only available with the whole OS.
If someone wants to send me a zipped copy of their latest (2.4/2.5) iSync,
that'd be fine by me.
I wish Software Update would get me the right version for my OS. :(
2. I can NOT find how I changed my keyboard to Tab to every window control,
instead of just text boxes. I thought I did this in the 'Unversal Access'
preferences pane, but I can not undo it.
(This one seems so silly, but I just can not find that preference again.)
