Problem with Mail:Services:Script Editor:Make New Applescript

Hey anyone running 10.5.2,
I just tried to use Services:Script Editor:Make New Applescript to
make a new script (from Deivy Petrescu's recent findroot() post to be
exact) and nothing happens.
The same menu item used in TextEdit with the same text works fine.
Wondering if anyone can duplicate this problem.
