>>> I am new user for this group. I need your valuable support to do things
better thru Apple scripts.

Welcome Selva to the AppleScript Users List.

You've made a good choice learning AppleScript. It is, the standard for
interapplication scripting on the Macintosh.

The language and technology have been in use in a wide variety of
environments and industries for more than a decade and their are hundreds of
tools and resources, many available for free, available on the internet.

There are literally thousands of scriptable applications on the market and
many developers are adding AppleScript to their applications every day and
many others are frequently improving their AppleScript implementations.

With every major system release Apple has also made improvements to the
language, the technology, the tools it provides and its own implementation
of AppleScript in many of its applications.

This list has thousands of subscribers, including a number of experts in
various technologies beyond scripting. It's fairly rare that questions from
the simplest to the most challenging go unanswered on this list.

For learning AppleScript there are number of books available, and a new one,
soon to be released.

A good starting place would be:
http://macscripter.net/

They have a regular series of tutorials that are pretty valuable.

Here's another link with a lots of good information from an appleScript tool
developer:

And, of course, there's Apple's own page:
