Oakley, you can use application "Image Info" in this way

tell application "Image Info"
    set f to alias "Lipstick:Users:g5:Pictures:Working
Files:CyS:CYB060409_0640.psd"
    Image Info for f with extended info, EXIF info, IPTC info and ICC info
end tell
This will get you all keywords and many more info about your file, and as
you can see here, support PSD files which is very important
