Title: Re: Folder action scripts playing rough ?
When we first moved to Leopard, the Finder would hang and timeout if we updated the 24U progress indicator from inside a Finder tell block typically if you were copying files and wanted a progress bar to update to let you know how far you had gotten. It was just a matter of rearranging (or minimizing) the use of the Finder tell block to get the progress bar indicator to be outside of it.
Don’t know if that is related to your copying stopping or not.

Hi all,
I use Applescript a lot, and in particular folder action scripts that allow my workflow to be automated in a wonderful way (my business is in photography) and once I had migrated to Leopard, I have started noting that for some reason, folder action scripts that previously worked fine together have started “interrupting” one another.
In one particular case, I have one FAS attached to /Volumes/ that is in charge of copying images from a compact flash card that don’t have a locked status. They are being copied to a folder who’s folder action script opens added items in a viewing program, as soon as the first images are displayed in the viewing app, the copying stops. There is an error catching if included, but no error is dsplayed, the copying just hangs. I use 24U osax in order to monitor the advance of the copy, since it’s a repeat step (with each file) and not a global one (with an alias list), in order to copy and then lock the files on the card once a copy has been successful.
I wanted to join the two scripts but that exceeds the max 64k you are allowed in theses lists. Do reply if you want details.
Looking forward to having your feedback.
