Also, some apps (Adobe) have user interface items that I can use in my scripts I mentioned this before but you dismissed it as a side issue, but it's not.

I never intend to sound dismissive. All I recall is asking the list which aspect of ‘display alert’ and ‘display dialog’ is critical to the correct operation of your scripts.

It was an answer to your question about why it would be important to display an alert in a specific application rather than in whatever process happened to running the script.
