Man pages vary greatly in quality, but just about all of them have all
the information you need, even if its hard to find. Scripting
dictionaries often have little more than the skeleton of the structure
autogenerated from an IDE, and are more like the typical Unix
command's "usage" message than a man page.
Most man pages include an EXAMPLES section, which alone goes a long way..
