One of the practical problems that does affect you is that AppleScript
and Standard Additions are less likely to be improved because of the
risk of breaking scripts.
The clearer your scripts are about intent and the fewer unnecessary
dependencies they have, the more likely it is we'll be able to improve
AppleScript for you without breaking your scripts.
