This *is* sorting them. Putting each one in the proper bin - that's
the original meaning of "sorting". The fact that you can then pull
them back out in a particular order used to be secondary...

Hello Mark,
I was not writing an academic dissertation about the meaning of the
verb "sort".
I was responding to these sentences:
Per what I understand I will have to have 2 lists and sort them
toghether
(Files, Filenames) - how do I do this part?
Then based on my sorting of the filenames I need to copy the
respective files
to the new folder via finder - that seems rather easy.
So I tried to explain that there is no need to sort the lists of
files before copying the files in the correct destination folders.
If my wording was incorrect, it's perhaps due to the fact that as
this forum is an English one, I do my best to use this language which
is not my true one.
If it's boring, I would be able to respond in French.
