iCal scripting

  • Subject: iCal scripting

I am creating an iCal calendar to notify us whenever renewals of employee licenses, required certifications, CEUs etc. are pending. Right now I'm working on a script to run from each event that sends email to each employee reminding them that X is due in one month.

Is it possible to pass parameters (name, email address and event name) from iCal to a script? If not, would running a small script that contains the info I need to pass (one script for each event) pointing to a larger script that sends the email be the next best alternative?

Thanks
Joe
