You've reached the point where there are so many "do shell script"
calls, you're better off (IMO) making the whole thing shell.

Actually, after looking at this a bit, only the first shell script I invoke for ImageMagick is all that's necessary. I should not need the other two to check for file existence or move the file. I'm sure Applescript can do this natively or via standard additions. I took the shell approach because I'm relatively new to Applescript, and shell scripts are what I'm more familiar with.
