- Thread-topic: System Events XML Suite - how to add / delete elements and attributes?
Hi Axel,
I am writing some scripts for a customer with offices all over the world and
they are very, very reluctant to include any "unnecessary" software, due to
their IT policy, which dictates that they should strive to be dependent of
as few third party software (unless it is open source) as possible. Whether
that is a reasonable approach or not is simply not up to me to decide, it's
the customers decision.
As System Events' dictionary claims that elements and attributes can be set
and deleted I thought I would give it a try before I resort to writing some
basic XML routines myself, in fact I already have, and while they do seem to
work okay it would be nice to use something that is already tried and
tested.
Well, it's not exactly the first time a dictionary makes claim it doesn't
really support, but it would be damn nice if it did!
Thanks
