The whole Apple dictionary thing was just following through on an
impulse, because I thought it was way cool that there was a word coined
the way it was, and that the Apple dictionary included it. The instant I
hit the send button, I regretted it. I realized that not only was I most
certainly wrong, but that it's not my place to judge what the author's
intent was. So I immediately sent a retraction. I'm both sorry and
chagrined.
You can find me hiding under the nearest rock.

Actually, no. The relevant definition is not in Apple's dictionary (I'm astonished that that one was!); it's an extension of "borken":
borken: adj. (also borked) Common deliberate typo for Œbroken¹.

There are a number of computer/Internet slang terms that come from once accidental but now deliberate typos; my personal favorite is "cow orker".
FWIW, this is the correct interpretation of my intent. ;)
