is there any way to script the input in form fields (text input)
of PDF-documents with the Preview application?
I've some PDF-files which contain text-input fields and i want to
fill the fields by script and then print them for further use.
You can prepare an ASCII text file with extension .fdf from which
Acrobat will "import form data". The format of the file is
published but it's pretty easy to get a prototype using "export
form data" from a previously filled out form with the same fields
in it.
I don't know if you need professional versions of Acrobat. I use
Acrobat 5.1, the full version, on this 8500 running OS 9.1 and it
fills out my US income tax forms from data on an Excel spreadsheet.
Thanks Doug,
but i've no Acrobat. The application in question is Apple's Preview.
