Hi Philip,
You are right. Script Editor is not available on my mac under "/Applications/AppleScript" When I explored installer disk, I couldn't see the "AppleScript" package.

Script Editor is normally located inside "/Applications/AppleScript"
If it's not been installed, then I think you should verify your installer disk.
