How to trigger scripts

  • Subject: How to trigger scripts

I have a simple script that takes address information from Apple's
Address Book and turns it into an envelope in Pages. Ideally I'd
trigger that script from a button in the Address Book toolbar but as
far as I can tell, I can't add a button to the toolbar.

I know that I can add a script to the Scripts menu but that is a
little messy and not as pretty as a button in Address Book's toolbar.

Maybe I need to make a little floating palette with buttons that
trigger scripts. If I go that route, I'll need to learn Xcode or at
least part of it, right? What is the easiest/fastest way to do it? (A
simple Display Dialog is not going to be enough for this project.)

Thank you for your help.
