I don't have any of these. Is there any other tutorial, book online, etc i could use to start learning appleScript

If you haven't done so already, you'll fine the Applescript folder in your Applications folder. The first thing I suggest is to run Applescript Utility in that folder, and tick all three tick boxes. Then, open and read the example scripts.
