Translating .MOD Files

Hi people,

Once again, one of my schools would like to be able to automate changing  .MOD files to .MOV, or something useful.  They use MPEG Streamclip to manually change them, so I thought of using a folder action.  MPEG has no applescript.  Has anyone tried doing anything with it?
