Hmm, maybe the "PackBits" parameter has something to do with
the TIFF problems?
Dictionary has it listed as:
---
PackBits (boolean)
Are the bytes to be compressed with PackBits? ( default is false,
applies only to TIFF )

Interesting. I'm looking at some notes in a script from the days of 10.5.1:
-- Save the image to another file
save thisImage as JPEG in newFilePath2
save thisImage as TIFF in newFilePath --** no save happens here in 10.5.1;
returns missing value
