Remove application icon from dock

  • Subject: Remove application icon from dock

I searched the web to remove my application icon from the dock using apple script.
But I couldn't get exact one what I am looking for.

I downloaded a DMG from net, double clicked it and copied the application to my Mac's Application direcotry. Ran the application. Now I am able to see the applications icon in Dock. I "Ctrl+Clicked" and selected "Keep in dock'. After some time, I quit the application and moved the application to trash. Still I am able to see the application's icon in dock.

Now I want to write some apple script to remove that application's icon from the dock.
The restrictions I want to put here are: "Apple script must confirm that the application is not running (if running it must ask user to quit the application), application is quit and application is moved to trash (no more available in Applications directory)" before removing the icon from dock.

Can anyone help me in getting the solution for that?

TIA

Satya
