If I send a message to myself or to the list, the characters look OK on receipt.
If you (Matthew) send them back, they appear as question marks.

A semicolon is the Q key.

So it is! (I think I knew that, but had forgotten.)

In the Input Menu tab of the International system preference make sure you
have Keyboard viewer selected. When you choose it from the Input menu it
brings up a window showing the keyboard. You can see all the key layout on
it.

Again, I knew, but had forgotten. I ought to write in Greek more often! :-)
