Greetings,
One of the more
annoying things about QuickTime Player is that it doesn't reliably
open multiple items in a proper sort order.
This script
works just fine, except it won't actually make window
1 active - nor will the sort
order stick unless you manually click on the front
window.
On 13 April 2008, I filed a bug report on
a similar problem where the order of windows is reversed when the
QuickTime Player application is made invisible. NYF (Not yet
fixed).
I wouldn't hold my breath. The bug has been in Safari since the
first versions of Leopard, and in Smile we make the best efforts to
work around this bug of Cocoa and still it's not perfect. (But at
least in Smile "window 1" works, not like in QTPlayer or
Safari). Also, I think there is a hard to fix bad interaction with
Spaces.
