question about creating alias from UTF8 path name

  • Subject: question about creating alias from UTF8 path name
  • From: Y Ren <email@hidden>

set apName to POSIX file filepath as string

set posixAlias to alias apName

tell application myApplication to open posixAlias

These can never work if filepath contains characters which are not one byte such as cjk names. Can anyone tell me how to make my

application open files with cjk names.

thanks.
