If the "Plug-ins info slice" is not going to be used for plug-ins, then it would not be appropriate to have this in Info window.
I was simply using the Finder's ability to move items between the PlugIns and Plug-ins Disabled folders to get a simple Enable/Disable interface. The items I put in these folders were empty folders and alias files. It worked very nicely and I don't know, at this moment, how to replace its functionality. Perhaps 'choose from list' might work, but I have my doubts.
Perhaps AppleScript needs an 'EnableDisable' dialog in Scripting Additions. It should present a list with each item having a checkbox at its left and "Add", "Remove" and "Done" buttons. This would actually be an improvement, since the list of items would be stored in a preference .plist file (good) and not within the application bundle (bad).
