I get nearly all properties of the Finder View window.
Sorry, but the window name is a French to English translation, so it could not be "understandable". I talk about the properties we can set using <icon view options>.
There are two properties that I cannot write/read:
The CheckBox at the top of the window (Always open that window in View by Icons…) and the Button at the bottom of the window (Use these values as default).
I need to set the checkbox by code in a script that creates a bunch of folders (it can be some tens to some hundred) and I do not want to check them some times later…
This is a brand new Leopard (Snow Leopard) property that one have to set if (s)he wants to always open these folders as View by Icons (and not View as List or whaterver other view).
TIA,
Emile
G'day Emile
I'm not sure what you want, but is the following any use to you. The windows of the folders don't have to be open to set them.
tell application "Finder" set WindowName to folder "123456" as text set current view of window of alias WindowName to icon view set arrangement of icon view options of window of alias WindowName to arranged by creation date -- or, modification date, name etc end tell |
