Reveal / Select in Finder

  • Subject: Reveal / Select in Finder

I have a small folder hierarchy that is two-levels deep. That is: folder A contains folders B, C, D. Folder B contains folders B1, B2 etc.

I'd like to be able to have my AppleScript "open" FolderB2 in list view but have FolderA at the top.

e.g. (in ascii art)

V FolderA
> FolderB
> FolderB1
V FolderB2
> Other_folder1
> Other_folder2
> FolderB3
etc

My experiments with open/reveal/select don't really do what I want and I can't think of any way other than sending the appropriate number of right-arrow and down-arrow keystrokes. Before doing something so inelegant I thought I would ask here. Any suggestions please?

Column mode is always a fallback but, for various reasons, I would prefer the above.

Thanks in advance.
