I have 13,196 mp3 files in folder. I have an AppleScript with add the files to the main library in iTunes. This works fine. The Script then "duplicates" the files from the main hard disk library to an iPod. This sort of works, except at the end I get around 120 less tracks on the iPod! If I "add" the files to the iPod (rather that coping them from the main library), the correct number of files appears on the iPod!

I tried this via the GUI (not with AppleScript) and I get the same results, so it doesn't look like a bug in my Script.

Does anyone have a clue what is going on here?

No idea, but create a smart playlist to see the 120 missing tracks-- maybe you'll see something in common between them.

(Or export the 2 versions out to TextWrangler and compare from there, etc.)
