Has always worked just fine for me. Sounds like there must be something more
to it. Some setting, some external condition affecting things.

Of course with AFP you cannot login to an AFP server as more than 1 user at
the same time. But that is an AFP limitation -- nothing to do with mount
volume. Just thought I'd mention it. Although it's unlikely to be relevant,
given that you say the same script works under Panther and Leopard.
