Passing Parameters to an Automator Action

  • Subject: Passing Parameters to an Automator Action

Is it possible to pass parameters to an Automator action? I would like to pass the name of a specific file to Automator when I run an action. Are there AppleScript corollaries to Automator actions? That is, if I wanted to translate an Automator workflow into AppleScript, is there a fairly simple way to do that, or would that be unrealistic?

Thanks,

Jon
