Title: JMF HTTP POST with XML data in body
I’m working on a project to implement the Job Messaging Format (JMF) of the Job Definition Format (JDF) specification at CIP4 ( http://www.cip4.org/documents/jdf_specifications/html2/JDFspec.htm). The whole concept revolves around sending HTTP requests via the POST message where an XML file is contained in the body of the post. I’m wondering if this is something that is possible with Applescript.

The other half of the equation, which may be off topic, is that the remote system that is doing work in the background may send out HTTP posts asynchronously when an event happens on its processes. A web service on my side would need to be listening for these HTTP requests that also contain data in XML that it can parse and react to.

Has anyone on this list been involved with anything like this that might point me to some resources?

Thanks.
Jim
