Because I think Filemaker's appleScript implementation is crap and its internal scripting is worse.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you use, umm, FileMaker as your FileMaker
front end?

I've used for everything from simply adding a fourth button and a second

manage.

Mark and Matt put a lot of hours and a lot of good brainpower into getting
it as far as they did. (I thought it was pretty close to release).

I'm sorry to see it go.

I'm kinda surprised not to see this being discussed yet:

I know there are Script Debugger users, and probably plenty of former
Facespan users... was no one looking forward to FS5? I'm not even sure I
would use it - can't say until I've played - but I'm always encouraged to
see new Applescript tools... and discouraged when one is shelved for, at
least in part, lack of interest. I cut my scripting teeth in large part on
AppleScript, and while I probably only do 20% of my scripting using
Apple-specific tools anymore, it's a solid 20% that'll be sorely missed if
it ever goes away entirely.
