Why bother w/AS? TextEdit->Edit->Spelling & Grammar->disable Correct Spelling
Automatically. It's possible to toggle that via AS, but I'll leave the details
for someone else to fill out.

For Mail scripting, check this lists archives-I don't use Mail.
